The Samila Beach Hotel is located near many good Sea Food Restaurants.
The Breakfast is after a while a kind of boring.
This hotel is in an excellent location, being beside the beach and within close walking distance of small restaurants, many specialising in seafood. Our room had excellent views of the sea. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was quiet most of the time.
There were The room didn't contain an electric kettle, so the only way to get a cup of tea was to order it from room service. The tea was overpriced, considering all we needed was a cup of hot water and a teabag. There are people doing noisy aerobics on the beach before 6am, which would be a disadvantage for people who like to sleep later when they're on holiday.
Location & good value for money.
No free wi-fi in room although good signal in public areas.
The hotel adjoins perfect sandy beach "Samila" (but that beach is not enclosed area - it's public one). Our room was big, with full-fledged sea view. Breakfasts were passable.
The hotel impressed us unfavourably in tote. System of airconditioning was out of order within 1,5 days of 4. Hot water was absent within 2 days of 4. Workers of the hotel assured us in the beginning, that all snacks and potable water in mini-bar were complimentary (thay said only strong drinks and carbonated beverages were paid); but in time of check out an invoice was submites to us for those snacks and water (more than 500 bahts). During third and fourth days of our stay in the hotel the key-card of our room was out of order and we were forced to go to reception and ask that our room's door should be opened.
Most luxurious hotel in Songkhla province
The staff not smilely... I had to change hotel room for two time... One is they didn't give me the sea view room... One is the aircond malfunction...
Excellent location by the beach. I stayed at this hotel 10 years ago and it was excellent, with all of the facilities of a five star hotel....the food, gym etc were all first rate. Parts of the hotel now look frayed at the edges, particularly the dining room, parts of the poolside and the external decoration. The gym area is closed because all the equipment is broken, rusty and covered in cobwebs! However the rooms and their views are excellent. Another negative aspect is the food and buffet breakfast - it is typical 3*, OK but well below the standard of 10 years ago.
Gym - unusable, should not advertise that there is a gym!
-The air in the bathroom is not flow that make it smelly.
Nice view and good location. Staffs are nice and helpful.
1.Bed are quite disappointing. Need to be change as they are quite old. 2.TV set also need to be change to the new set. LED type so that the picture will be better. Others are OK and in good contdition.
- The location of the resort especially the sea facing rooms.
- Biggest problem, nobody in the whole hotel or restaurant speaks English. Not even basic English like "have", "dont have", "vegetarian food", "nice places around". - No wifi in rooms or restaurant even if you are willing to pay extra. Wifi only in lobby. - All wall socket electric points are Thai style. The hotel staff cannot even offer you a travel adapter. I had to roam around the town for 2 hours looking for a travel adapter, so that I can charge my tablet computer.
I liked its location by the beach and the price of the room was good.
The front desk staff said that the telephone system in the hotel was broken. As such it was impossible to make a telephone call from the room or anywhere in the hotel other than the 1 of 3 pay phones that were working in the lobby. It is hard to believe that a hotel of this size would not have a working telephone system and that only 1 of their 3 pay phones was operational. For anyone needing to make telephone calls who may not have a mobile phone that can be used internationally, this is a major inconvenience. Additionally, although the hotel advertises that they cater to English-speaking travelers, the dining room staff speaks little English which made ordering food somewhat problematical. If these are important concerns to other travelers, I would not recommend this hotel. If not, then the hotel is ok. Nothing special, but ok. But it is not a resort by any means.
